Can you give us a quick bio of who you are and what makes CM Promotions such a unique wedding vendor?
At CM Promotions, we are passionate about making your dream wedding flawless and creating an experience that lights up you and your guests with pure joy and love. We aim to be the best at what we do and deliver the best each time we do it. Our vision is to be the go-to resource for couples in Denton, Dallas, Fort Worth, and beyond around wedding planning with ease. We want our couples to be full of joy, surrounded by those they love, and ready to meet their soulmate at the end of the aisle.
How and when did you get started in this business?
Our founder, Cindy, launched the company after moving here from Boston in 2017 for the love of her life. She started CM Promotions out of spite after not getting hired due to lack of experience. If they could not go back in time and see her now! Cindy loves building relationships, not only with the clients, but also the amazing team of planners that makes up the CM family!
What is your favorite feature/fun fact about CM Promotions?
We always love telling future couples/clients about our team goal. We want to hear at each wedding we are going above and beyond, the wedding has flowed seamlessly, or any other positive feedback at least four times. This is like a wedding scorecard for us, and we are very competitive with ourselves!
What is your secret for staying calm under pressure when something doesn’t go as planned at a wedding?
Our goal is to be as prepared for each wedding as possible and to always have a backup plan. Our secret is we know eyes are possibly on us, if we stay calm, others will as well.
What is the most rewarding part of your job at CM Promotions?
There are so many to pick from! Some of our tops are seeing how grateful the family is at the end of the day, they were able to fully enjoy the wedding. Oftentimes, we work so closely possible the couple however it is the parents that are the most thankful for us on the wedding day.
Can you share a fun/funny/unique/memorable event/instance that has happened at an event?
Of course! We planned a wedding once in which the brother of the bride had passed away. During the welcome speech, the father of the bride asked for a moment of silence for his lost son. He followed that up by telling guests that although he is not here physically; he is here in this room. He then asked for ‘those in this room who have a part or piece of my son, please stand.’ Five organ donor recipients stood up and everyone got goosebumps. It was such a special moment and one we will remember forever.
What trends are you seeing and loving right now in the industry?
We love the fun game day photos for the groomsmen, especially when a video team is involved! Runway style seating is super fun and allows everyone a great view too!
If you could give your couples just one important piece of advice while planning, what would that be?
This is easy and something we say all the time! Focus on who you are meeting at the end of the aisle, that is what and who is most important during the wedding day. Everything else is a bonus.
What do you like to do for fun when not working?
When we aren’t planning weddings, you can find our team out and about DFW trying new brunch spots, playing with our pups (or our kids) and enjoying some quality time with family and friends.
